Well the time has finally arrived: An online course that gives all New Yorkers a MANDATORY 10% car insurance discount for 3 years. On top of that, it can reduce driving record points received within the last 18 months.
What's better, this is a course you can take every 3 years to maintain your discount. New York has in years past recorded some of the highest automobile insurance premiums, so a course like this is much deserved.
New York defensive driving has been available for years in the classroom, but a law was passed just recently this year to allow for an online version. It is the same course and time requirement, AND, there is no final exam. So what's a few hours to have a smaller car insurance bill, well, for as long as you like!
I wish Florida had this deal. :-( Regardless, the New York online defensive driving course should be available for registrations 05/18/2009.
